Ormskirk Medical Practice

this surgery are brilliant for prescriptions but not good for appointments, i can go on the app and order a prescription no concerns and no problems but when it comes to getting an appointment its an absolute nightmare.

i have moved to Ormskirk Medical Practice and i was really shocked that i hadnt been offered a new patient appointment. I have a long term condition and would like to discuss this with my doctor so they are aware of my treatment and my needs. I feel this should be priority for new patients.

im not happy with my surgery at the moment, you cant get an appointment and i don't feel the doctors fully listen to you when you do see them. i had to ring for 2 weeks straight as every time i rung they told me to call back tomorrow.

I visited the out of hours GP service a couple of weeks ago in the evening at Ormskirk Medical Practice.
I had previously been diagnosed with a trapped nerve.
I was assessed by an out of hours doctor who pulled my arms around my back heard a noise she did this totally unexpected. She did not explain what she was doing.
I was fortunately off work otherwise I would not have been able to go into work.
I came out of the appointment in agony. The out of hours receptionist witnessed I was in agony.
I attended the local walk in centre but they could not complete a back xray.
I was eventually prescribed naproxen as can't take anti inflammatory medication.
I am been referred for physio and been given a complaint form to complete.
After speaking with Healthwatch I have been signposted to Advocacy Focus to assist me with my complaint.
